Agentic Security Firm 7AI Raises $130 Million

Boston, Mass-based agentic cybersecurity firm 7AI today announced a $130 million Series A funding round.

The company has developed specialized AI agents to take over essential ‘non-human work’, such as enriching signals, triaging alerts, searching for known threats, and correlating telemetry.

Led by Index Ventures, with participation from new investor Blackstone Innovations Investments, the Series A funding comes just ten months after the company launched from stealth (February 2025) and brings the total amount raised to $166 million.

7AI explained that its autonomous ‘swarming agents’ can categorize threat alerts (whether they are cloud, email, identity, or EDR threats) and then dispatches the appropriate agents.

Established in 2024 by Cybereason founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, 7AI says the Series A funding will support expansion of its AI Security Engineering and go-to-market teams as the company scales via its channel-first model.

“There’s a fundamental flaw in how we’ve approached security operations for the past two decades. We keep adding more people and detection tools to handle exponentially increasing threats and alerts. The math just doesn’t work,” said Div, CEO and Co-Founder of 7AI. “We’re at an agentic security inflection point that changes the equation entirely. Instead of security teams drowning in investigations that take hours, our AI agents complete them in minutes at a speed, accuracy, and consistency that’s difficult for humans and automation to match.”

Greylock, CRV, Spark, and all other existing seed investors also participated in the Series A round.

As part of the investment, Shardul Shah, Partner at Index Ventures, will join 7AI’s board of directors.
