Many companies are showcasing their cybersecurity products and services this week at the 2025 edition of the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.
To help cut through the clutter, the SecurityWeek team is publishing a digest summarizing some of the announcements made by vendors at Black Hat USA 2025, including new products and services, updates to existing offerings, reports, and other initiatives.
The first part of this roundup covers announcements made in the days leading up to the event, as well as some of the announcements made on Monday, August 4.
AirMDR launches agentic AI SOC platform
Managed detection and response (MDR) firm AirMDR has unveiled the AirMDR AI SOC Platform, an agentic AI solution designed to automate more than 90% of Tier-1 alert triage to reduce analyst fatigue and operational cost. The platform is built for the security operations center (SOC) of managed security service providers (MSSPs) and enterprises. The company also announced the AirMDR Free Forever plan, a free tier that supports up to three data sources and 100 alerts per week.
Apiiro launches AutoFix AI Agent
Agentic application security firm Apiiro launched AutoFix, an AI agent that autofixes design and code risks using runtime context, directly inside developers’ integrated development environments. Apiiro’s AI agent acts like an embedded AppSec engineer, fixing risks before they hit production. The AI agent is powered by the company’s real-time Software Graph, which provides the context that allows the agent to make informed decisions about whether to fix, flag, or document each application risk.
AppOmni expands platform
SaaS security firm AppOmini has expanded its platform to address emerging AI and SaaS risks. The improvements enable security teams to understand their risk exposure to AI and implement security controls by identifying sanctioned and unsanctioned AI apps. The platform provides enhanced threat detection and support for 30 new applications, including from Anthropic, Cisco, and OpenAI.
BeyondTrust expands solution and launches new research arm
BeyondTrust has expanded its Identity Security Insights solution to include Secrets Insights, a new capability designed to illuminate and secure the hidden attack surfaces created by secrets and non-human identities. The company also announced the launch of Phantom Labs, a new research arm focused on uncovering emerging identity threats and accelerating innovation across its platform.
Coalfire introducing new cybersecurity services
Cyber advisory, assessment, and security firm Coalfire has announced a new cybersecurity service and team named DivisionHex. DivisionHex helps organizations identify risks and address them through specialized threat modeling and penetration testing.
Contrast Security enhances platform with new integrations
Application security firm Contrast Security has announced two major integrations for its platform: GitHub Copilot integration enables developers to apply AI-generated fixes that are validated by live runtime evidence, and Sumo Logic integration enables SOC teams to triage, investigate, and respond with full application-layer context as a result of Contrast attack telemetry now directly flowing into Sumo Logic.
Cribl announces new data protection solution
IT and security data engine firm Cribl announced a new data protection offering named Cribl Guard. It enables users to proactively detect and protect sensitive enterprise data, reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve overall operational efficiency. Existing telemetry data management solutions require manual identification of fields that may contain things like PII and sensitive data. Cribl Guard combines AI with a human-in-the-loop control point to spot sensitive data.
Cyera announces AI Guardian
Data security company Cyera has launched AI Guardian, a solution designed to secure any type of AI. AI Guardian, which expands Cyera’s platform to meet the needs of enterprises adopting AI, is powered by two products: AI-SPM, for providing an inventory of all AI assets, and AI Runtime Protection, for monitoring and responding to AI data risks in real-time.
Darwinium unveils AI-powered fraud defense tools
Fraud prevention company Darwinium announced the launch of Beagle and Copilot, two agentic AI features that simulate adversarial attacks, detect hidden vulnerabilities, and dynamically optimize fraud defenses.
DataBahn.ai unveils Smart Agent
Security-first data pipeline platform provider DataBahn.ai has developed Smart Agent, a new AI agent integrated into the company’s Smart Edge telemetry collector. Smart Agent is designed to reduce complexity, cost, and risk of managing multiple tool-specific agents. Security and observability teams now have a unified and cross-functional solution to collecting, processing, and routing telemetry data.
Descope launches Agentic Identity Control Plane
Descope, a drag and drop external IAM platform, announced Agentic Identity Control Plane, a solution designed to provide policy-based security guardrails for AI agents and MCP servers. Descope’s new platform lets security teams see, control, and audit every AI agent before it touches corporate data.
FireMon announces new solution and integration
Firewall policy management firm FireMon announced Insights, a network security benchmarking solution designed to help organizations identify areas of weakness and potential risks. The company also announced partnering with Illumio to bridge the enforcement gap between zero trust segmentation and firewall policy.
Forescout publishes threat report
Forescout has released its 2025 H1 Threat Review report, which is based on the analysis of 23,000 vulnerabilities and 885 threat actors. The study found that zero-day exploits have increased by nearly 50%, there are an average of 20 ransomware incidents per day, and threat actors are increasingly targeting ‘non-traditional’ systems such as BSD servers, IP cameras, and edge devices.
Intel 471 new threat hunting capabilities
Threat intelligence firm Intel 471 announced new threat hunting capabilities through Guided Threat Hunts, a new tool within its Hunt Management Module. Guided Threat Hunts enables analysts to use Pivot queries to ask intelligent follow-up questions on initial threat hunt searches within their own security platforms, while Filter queries cut through the noise of query results.
Kindo.ai product updates and rebrand
Kindo.ai has announced several updates to its automation platform, including new chat and AI-managed tool calling, native and automatic AI-generated integrations, dynamic parameter support, and a new AI model. The company also announced that its WhiteRabbitNeo DevSecOps LLM is now named Deep Hat.
LastPass announces SaaS Protect
Password and identity management firm LastPass announced a new feature – SaaS Protect. Available in beta to current LastPass Business and Business Max customers, it builds upon the company’s existing SaaS Monitoring capabilities, enabling organizations to address credential misuse.
Menlo uncovers surge in gen-AI web traffic
Menlo Security has released a new report titled How AI is Shaping the Modern Workspace, uncovering a 50% spike in web traffic to generative AI sites and a corresponding surge in AI-driven cyber threats. Based on telemetry data from hundreds of global organizations, the report highlights the rapid adoption of gen-AI, with 10.53 billion visits to AI sites in January 2025, and a growing wave of phishing, deepfake scams, and shadow AI usage threatening enterprise security.
Prompt Security free AI risk assessment tool
Prompt Security has launched a free AI Risk Assessment Tool that scores the security of gen-AI apps and MCP servers. The tool is built for AI and security teams to get instant insights on encryption, data use, vulnerabilities and compliance.
Qualys unveils new agentic AI capabilities
Qualys has unveiled several new agentic AI capabilities on its platform. The company has introduced a marketplace of Cyber Risk AI Agents delivering real-time risk insights across all attack surfaces. Qualys also introduced the Cyber Risk Assistant, a prompt-driven interface that helps enterprises navigate the risk journey, translate exposures, and deliver context-aware risk insights with autonomous operations.
Singulr launches unified control plane for enterprise AI
Singulr AI, a firm specializing in enterprise AI governance and security, has launched a unified AI control plane, designed to enable IT, security, and compliance teams to scale AI adoption without compromising trust. The platform has three key modules: the Singulr Pulse risk intelligence system, dynamic runtime protection, and application-aware AI red teaming.
Skyhawk Security announces Wiz integration
Cloud detection and response solutions provider Skyhawk announced that its Autonomous Purple Team is now fully integrated with Wiz products, helping Wiz customers reduce alert fatigue and identify true threats. Skyhawk applies adversary-intelligent simulations and business risk context to show what’s truly exploitable and what isn’t.
SpecterOps debuts major update to BloodHound tool and publishes report
SpecterOps announced BloodHound v8.0, a new version of its open source pentesting tool, which delivers the ability to ingest and visualize identity attack paths in nearly any platform, repository, or application. The company also published its State of Attack Path Management Report, which provides a comprehensive look at adversarial perspectives around identity security, attack paths, and how identity threats are evolving.
SPLX unveils end-to-end security platform for AI
SPLX (formerly SplxAI) has launched AI Runtime Protection, a new runtime security tool purpose-built for AI applications and workflows. SPLX aims to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end security platform that protects AI systems across their entire lifecycle, from development to deployment and real-time operation.
Vorlon unified SaaS and AI security platform
SaaS ecosystem security firm Vorlon announced a new unified SaaS and AI security platform that aims to close the visibility gap into how data is being accessed, moved and acted on by AI agents, copilots and machine workflows. Vorlon’s new platform offers real-time insight and control across both SaaS and AI ecosystems.
